It is essential that the Reserved Area should be rendered
fever proof which it is considered possible by the proper
construction of nullahs and channels. The amounts contem-
plated to be expended by the Government in this connection (Conditions J and K) seem to be somewhat large and it is
suggested by the lessees that in order to acquire the desired object it would be sufficient to roughly train the nullahs and channels by filling in between the stones with lime concrete and rendering with cement in a similar manner to the nullah adjoining the P.0,1.0's house on the Barker Road or they may be treated in the like manner to that recently constructed adjoining the "Haystack" at the Peak. If the work is carried out on these lines to the satisfaction of
the Medical Officer of Health, it is submitted that a large portion of the outlay contemplated by the Government would be saved which could be appropriated towards the constraction and maintenance of the roads, lanes and severs referred to in Conditions F. G. and H.
No person other than of Portuguese extraction or sub-lessees except domestic servant employed by an authorised person in the Reserved Aren; Priests and teachers attached to the Church and School respectively, Dectars and bonu fide lodgers with the approval in writing of the lessees shall repide
